Week two was actually end of week one, but because it was my "second" results blog I called it week two and continued the error from there.
So fixing up this small oversight we are at the end of week four now.
Weigh in for this week 115.9 kg with 47.5% body fat.
Weight - up 0.4 kgs Total - down 2.0 kgs
Body Fat - an increase of 0.5% Total - down 1.0%
So I did not have a very good week. Week three results were good, but I did have that cheeky early Saturday weigh in as I knew we had Chinese New Year plans.
So what did I learn from this week?
- Keep your ears dry after swimming! If it's windy out cover your ears on the way home from the pool.
- Eat more fibre (so you can safely eat more cheese)!
- Eating take-out isn't the answer! (We ended up having it three times this week; so naughty, I know!)
- Sometimes the couch is where you're meant to be! It's hard to stay on track when you're run down and your partner also has a cold, but that's OK - we remind ourselves we're not perfect and cannot commit to anything 100% of the time. We don't give up, we just get back on track!
Sunday my body wasn't happy with me due to my over indulgence in two Asian meals, some bubble-cup, and alcohol. My ear also became painfully blocked in the morning.
From here my week didn't get much better. A lovely day trip out to Maastricht on Tuesday, with a friend on a business trip, meant I missed swimming that night as we didn't get back until 7:50pm.
My neck and upper back were stiff and sore from Monday's weekly treatment, which resulted in four days of pain and mild headaches.
I also had a bout of constipation (too much info I know) from eating most of a block of cheese (I don't usually eat much cheese so my body rebelled) which resulted in missing my favourite Wednesday morning Yoga session.
Wednesday night I was totally out of it; I still had a sore ear, I hadn't been to the shops, I'd attempted to do some work for the Payroll job, so in a worst-case scenario I forgot about my plans to go to swimming and we ended up getting take-away for dinner.
My take-away food (beef of all things!) gave me a bout of food poisoning during the night. Not Simon, just lucky ole' me!
Thursday morning I made a decision to get dressed and go to Yoga. Half way there I decided to give up! My ear really hurt, my back hurt (I assume from vomiting the night before) and I only had eyes for the couch! I quickly grabbed some groceries and headed home to the couch!
By Friday I knew for sure I must have an ear infection, as I'd been using clearing ear drops all week, the blocked feeling did not go away and there was now more pain. So, no swimming today and a doctors appointment booked for later that night. Good thing I had a follow up with Raphael and got my stiff neck and upper back sorted out!
Doctor confirmed I have an ear infection - no more swimming until that's all healed (and maybe no Yoga because hanging my head down also hurts my ear).
