What you need;
- Sink of hot water
- Jar of coconut oil
- Teaspoon or Tablespoon depending on your preference for serving size
- Ice cube tray
Sit the jar of hardened coconut oil into the hot water for 5 – 10 minutes or until you have enough liquid coconut oil to use.
Using your chosen measuring device (this will depend on your preference for example a full tbsp is too much for me I can't swish that much liquid around my mouth for the full 20 minutes. I'd prefer to use 1 – 2 teaspoons and get the full time in), spoon the required amounts of liquid into the ice cube trays. Pop the ice cube tray into the fridge until the coconut oil has set. Put the coconut cubes into a jar to keep by the bed, in the bathroom or wherever is handy for you to complete your morning oil pulling routine.
If you like you can add a drop or two of peppermint extract or orange extract (or any preferred flavour) to the liquid cubes to make your oil pulling a little different J
I now have a 2kg tub of coconut oil. Not only is it cheaper to buy good quality coconut oil in bulk but the tub has a wide mouth and much easier access the bottom of the tub than a tall 1 litre jar or a jar with small mouth.
